We need you! Saturday 8th February; 10.25am

We need you and your children this Saturday morning, for 15 minutes, to show Brent’s planners how popular the new sports facilities on Tiverton Green will be with our community.

Here’s why….

We now have all the funding in place to transform the old Tiverton Green tennis courts into a wonderful space incorporating multi-use games area (MUGA), climbing walls, table tennis, children’s cycle paths, jogging circuit, planting, landscaping, hedges.

The MUGA still needs planning permission from Brent. The planning meeting is on February 12th and the report recommends granting consent as the plans meet all their criteria for improving sports facilities in the borough. Many of you wrote in support of the plans which was invaluable.

You’ve probably seen work has already started on the western end of the tennis courts to remove the old surface. This end was not subject to planning permission, as no structures will be going in. This end is for a cycle circuit for kids to learn to ride bikes, plus grass and planting. You can see the full plans on this website.

How you can help

The Planning Committee will be visiting the site this Saturday 8th February. It’s important that we let the Committee know the community is fully behind the plans.

Please go along to the tennis courts at 10.20 for 10.25 on Saturday morning with your kids and tell the planners how much you’re looking forward to this finally happening.

Please forward this onto all your friends and neighbours – let’s get a big turnout.

We’re almost there – we just need this final small effort. Thank you.
